The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode concluded with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the main group to undertake their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

This explains, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three separate parties: Soldiers, Schemers, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a violent first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, entering the secret base, striking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.

The traitor then settled his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the remote area, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Secondly, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their status as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party reach areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is marked for death by the clan.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the remote area in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which characters will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on the upcoming Thursday.
